Sales and marketing executive:
The person in this role will be responsible for enrolling real estate-related companies and advertisers onto the Real Estate Database (RED). There are countless real estate related companies spread across nearly every neighborhood in Kampala and Wakiso, the core responsibility of the sales and marketing executive will be to identify and build strong relationships with these businesses to successfully enroll them into the RED.
The ideal candidate should be capable of meeting monthly sales targets as will be agreed upon with management. They will also collaborate with other members of the sales team when necessary to share insights, adopt best practices, and stay informed on current market trends that support ongoing sales efforts. An official company email address will be provided for professional and credible communication with potential clients. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruit new real estate companies into the Real Estate Database (RED).
- Attend marketing team meetings, including but not limited to one-on-one and team training sessions.
- Based on information provided by the customers, analyze their requirements and match the correct offers to fit the customers' needs.
- Contribute to, and develop, integrated marketing campaigns when necessary.
Qualification: To be considered, you will ideally need to have significant knowledge within a broad marketing role.
- A degree or diploma in: Business, Communication (ICT), Commerce, Economics, or any other Sales and Marketing related discipline.
- Sales management, leadership, business and marketing certifications are an added advantage.
Experience:
- Previous work experience in commission based sales will be an added advantage.
- Sales experience must include proactive face to face sales but also cold calling skills and telemarketing.
- Previous experience in selling website services or internet services will be a big plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Selling and communication skills are needed in order to introduce new agents to the RED.
- Able to speak fluent English (and basic Luganda) in front of a crowd of 30+ people.
- Good track record for exceeding established sales goals.
- Strong work ethics and ability to work independently.
- Exceptional communication skills with a true desire and willingness to help customers.
- Persistent, "no-quit" attitude; cannot be phased by "No"--- The word "NO" should motivate a person to get to "yes;" passion for closing a deal.
- Outgoing personality with ability to naturally strike up a conversation with anyone.
- Confident and professionally groomed.
- Drive to be #1, competitive and determination to be the best.
- Build rapport and trust with customers.
- Ability to work closely with other team members and other departments.
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task.
- Communication through oral and written form.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and internet/email usage.
- Digital Marketing (Social Media Marketing), SEO, CRM systems.
A combination of any of the above skills and abilities will be an added advantage.
Benefits: A successful candidate will earn an upfront monthly allowance or retainer.
The candidate will also earn instant commission of 10% percent on all successful sales or commitments. Candidates will be equipped with publicity materials (and devices) that will help in explaining and demonstrating the core RED services, such materials can be distributed to the potential clients. Regular training in "marketing real estate online" will be provided.
